Project : les Vases Flottants Year : 2020 Collaboration with : Sylvie Godel and Peter Fink
The Vases Flottants are a series of vases created in collaboration with different craftsmen in Switzerland and in Portugal.
After more than a year of research on the association of ceramic and glass, we decided to create a series of vases that play with these two materials having the same root.
This interplay of materials is interesting because ceramic (matte) can be enamelled and glass (shiny) can be mattified by sandblasting. These textures forming the vase are harmonized by their connection.
The flowers arranged in the vase will be sometimes uncovered or hidden and structured thanks to the system of cones.
